The Challenge
Following a successful third season, the Forza Racing Championship doubled down on its commitment to the esports racing community by announcing their largest prize pool and most competitive tournament schedule to date. Their plan was to execute weekly online competitions, four major LAN events, and over thirty-five live broadcasts between April and October 2018.
Through these broadcasts, Forza wanted to build viewership on multiple streaming platforms - especially Mixer - to support the motorsport community and to drive sponsorship sales. Because they were new to broadcast production, our challenge was to put together a production that could be used as a baseline for profit, budget, and engagement.
Our Solution
As their lead broadcast partner for the 2018 season, we worked closely with their team to create compelling broadcasts that go beyond the camera by developing stream integrations and technical workflows. Our focus on an integrated experience allowed audiences to interact with the broadcasts in real time, engage with on-air talent and drivers, and build a deeper sense of community.
By prioritizing audience involvement through quests, raffles, and polling, we helped Forza accomplish their goal of building viewership and driving audience engagement. To further expand their audience, we also prioritized localization by enabling them to add captions in different languages with ease.
