The Challenge
Zotac needed to create a US-based Americas broadcast as part of their global esports program, the Zotac Cup Masters 2018.
Our Solution
Zotac, a top manufacturer of gaming PCs, GPUs and accessories created the Zotac Cup Masters esports program to highlight their products and support the esports community, and showcase the top Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams in the World.
As part of the global tournament, Zotac hosted a US-based Americas broadcast to capture the top teams in the North and South American regions. The event was a full brand takeover of the Santa Ana, California-based Esports Arena, and featured a custom stage, production elements, and broadcast production.
Spacetime Stragegies (STS) and Atomic we're tasked by the Zotac team to coordinate, and engineer the broadcast production for the Americas broadcast, as well as create supporting creative content for the broadcast, and tournament operations.
STS is a leading esports production and tournament operations company, and has produced numerous esports events, including the popular LanFest and Dreamhack events.
Atomic provided the broadcast production team, cameras and equipment, as well as the creative segment team that produced a nuber of team-highlight packages and other assets for the show. Custom HUDs were created and used, as well as dynamic on-stage displays integated into the game state data.
The event brought in a large global audience, featured one of the longest Countstrike Matches in history, and crowned Ghost Gaming as the Americas Champions.
The broadcast was streamed on the Zotac Twitch channel, and featured a team of commentators, analysts, and talent to call the action.
